{"id":895,"date":"2021-03-01T16:12:29","date_gmt":"2021-03-01T16:12:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.infolaw.co.uk\/lawfeeder\/?page_id=895"},"modified":"2022-10-10T08:19:17","modified_gmt":"2022-10-10T07:19:17","slug":"faq","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.infolaw.co.uk\/lawfeeder\/faq\/","title":{"rendered":"FAQ"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is Lawfeeder?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Lawfeeder is a curated catalogue of UK legal update resources, with links to latest published items constantly updated using RSS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is its scope?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Lawfeeder resources are considered if they meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>they provide regular updates relating to UK law or legal practice;<\/li><li>they are informative and of use to the legal community;<\/li><li>they are focussed on a particular legal topic or are organised by legal topic;<\/li><li>they are free to access; and<\/li><li>they provide a working RSS feed for each topic.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We exercise our editorial judgement in selecting resources in order to optimise quality and utility for our audience. For example, we will not list resources that are essentially self-serving or promotional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For a description of resource types, see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.infolaw.co.uk\/lawfeeder\/2021\/04\/14\/whats-in-lawfeeder\/\">What&#8217;s in Lawfeeder<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is RSS?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>RSS, which stands for rich site summary or really simple syndication, is a data format that provides structured update information about published resources. RSS data can be read by feed readers and other applications, providing a syndication channel for republishing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more detail, see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.infolaw.co.uk\/lawfeeder\/2022\/10\/04\/what-is-rss\/\">What is RSS?<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can I submit a resource to Lawfeeder?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes you can, but it must fall within scope.  See the criteria above before submitting your suggestion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To suggest a resource for inclusion, or if you have any comments or suggestions on the site, just <a href=\"mailto:lawfeeder@infolaw.co.uk?subject=Lawfeeder suggestion\">email us<\/a>. If you&#8217;re suggesting a new resource, send a link to the resource with a covering note. Don&#8217;t worry if you&#8217;re unsure whether the site provides an RSS feed; we will investigate.
