First CPD<\/a> is a new website for Irish Lawyers providing CPD online. The concept of obtaining CPD online has only just been approved by the Irish Law Society and even now it only allows 2 of the 10 hours requirement to be obtained online. However, Irish independent publisher Bart Daly, who runs First Law<\/a>, which was the first company to provide online legal material in Ireland, is now taking a leading role in the new CPD company and he is well placed to do so.<\/p>\n

He is working with a global provider or e-learning solutions, Prime Learning<\/a>, to offer these courses. Initial courses include Employment Law, Judicial Review and Tort. Courses for accountants are also available.<\/p>\n

The Law Society of Ireland<\/a> has entered into a contract with First Law and Prime Learning Ltd for the purposes of designing and producing these e-learning courses.<\/p>\n
