FreeLegalWeb launches

I’ve reported previously on progress of the FreeLegalWeb project I initiated which is designed to provide better, affordable, joined-up access to the law.

At long last we have a public Beta service at www.freelegalweb.org.

Given our modest budget, the Beta service is limited in its initial functionality but strong on aspiration. The site provides core end-user functionality for browsing and searching law resources, a selected range of primary and secondary law resource records and authored content focused initially on Housing Law.

As the Beta phase progresses and we load more data and receive feedback, we’ll be extending functionality and coverage. In particular, we plan to develop the authoring interface and author profiling, extend the authored articles coverage to other areas of law and extend the Citator resources coverage.

Please do investigate and give us your feedback.
