What competencies are required of solicitors?

The Solicitors’ Regulatory Authority Competency Framework demonstrates what it takes to be a successful, competent professional. Within the framework there are a list of competencies that explain what is required from solicitors to perform their role effectively. These competencies are used to provide a clear indication of what is expected from a solicitor and the standards they should show within their practice.

The SRA Competencies include:
